What we are, what we do and why:
The Texas Jazz
Festival Society was founded in 1959 and was incorporated under the
Texas
Non-Profit Corporation Act in 1968. Membership in the Society open
to all form a small membership fee, which covers the cost of
newsletters and other administrative expenses.
The society is
managed by an All-Volunteer Board of directors. The Texas Jazz Festival
is made possible
by the generous contributions and from our sponsors, supporters and
volunteers.
The Texas Jazz Festival Society goals are:

To perpetuate
and present the live performance of Jazz music as an American art
Form. |

To show case
local and area talent. |
|
To encourage
and aid in the education of young Jazz artists. |
|
To foster
tourism in the Sparkling City of Corpus Christi. |
|
To
promote and present the Annual Texas Jazz Festival " free of charge
to the public". |
