The Texas Jazz Festival Society is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to the promotion, preservation and appreciation of Jazz music.
The Established Goal of the Texas Jazz Festival Society
The Texas Jazz Festival Society focuses on increasing awareness or traditional, modern and Latin Jazz through presentation of the Texas Jazz Festival in Corpus Christi. It is the longest established and continuously operated free music festival in the country. The Texas jazz Festival is a major event that attracts visitors from all over the State and the Coastal Bend areas. It has been recognized by the Texas Legislature as the Official Jazz Festival of Texas
In Addition to promoting the festival, the Texas Jazz Festival Society works closely with the area schools to promote and encourage their music programs and the general appreciation of American Jazz music as an art form.

Instrument/Jazz Improvisation Clinics
Jazz musicians get the added benefit of free improvisational/instrumental clinics led by some of the most highly regarded artists in the field. Even if you're not a player, join the experts for an informative, enjoyable look at one of America's original art forms.
VOLUNTEER
Performers,
fans, and committed volunteers always make the festival a success. This
year's event looks
to be bigger than ever. However, there is much work to be done.
Volunteers are needed.
